How It Works
Smiths News provides you a customer facing Recycling tube.
Put your used vapes from the tubes into the drum we provide.
When your drum is full, seal it and arrange collection with Smiths News Recycle.
We will swap your drum for an empty one and get you to sign for collection - legal requirement.
You will sign for your consignment note to show that you are compliant.

Is vape recycling a legal requirement?
Correct disposal is required under the UK WEEE regulations aim to combat the rapid growth of waste electronic and electrical equipment and its impact on the environment due to its hazardous content. Furthermore, since 2024, all vapes retailers must provide a recycling point (known as a takeback scheme) for users to return their used vapes. This requires a specialist collection service of the type offered by Smiths News Recycle.

How It Works
We deliver you a compliant tote box.
Put your sWEE in the tote box.
Our driver will come and collect your box, scan it and complete a consignment note to ensure compliance.
We will leave you an empty tote box for you to fill in until your next scheduled collection.
