Who we are

At Smiths News Recycle, we make recycling easy and flexible for businesses.
Whether you prefer simple pay‑as‑you‑go bag collections or want the convenience of an ongoing service plan, we’ve got options to suit your needs.

From everyday recycling streams to more specialist waste such as used vapes, our solutions are designed to take the hassle out while keeping costs manageable and your business compliant.

With nationwide coverage and collections that fit seamlessly into your daily routine, staying sustainable has never been simpler.

Our Network

Building on the strength of the wider Smiths News network, we’re able to offer a recycling service that is not only convenient but also backed by one of the UK’s most reliable logistics operations. Holding 55% of the market share, Smiths News plc operates seven days a week, delivering and collecting newspapers, magazines, products, and other services to more than 22,000 outlets, typically well before 6:30 a.m.

Through this extensive network, we provide a shared route to market that is flexible, cost‑efficient and timely supported by service guarantees and added‑value services enabled by our bespoke systems and technology. Our operation is shaped by distribution contracts with all major UK publishers, giving us strong coverage across major conurbations and defined territories throughout England and Wales.

Testimonials

This scheme has been an absolute lifesaver for us as we go through a lot of cardboard & plastic. Extremely timesaving for us as a business & I have built a good rapport with the driver who collects our recycling.
