Since 6 April 2026, new workplace recycling rules in Wales have introduced a major change for businesses of all sizes. Under the latest phase of Welsh Workplace Recycling legislation, organisations will be legally required to separately collect small waste electrical and electronic equipment (sWEEE) for recycling.

Vapes are in scope of UK Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) regulations, and all retailers selling vapes must offer a free take‑back scheme for customers.
